Historic Consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
The Totus Tuus Community participates in a moment of grace alongside the nation’s bishops
On June 11, we experienced a day of profound grace and historic significance for the Church in the United States. We had the privilege of participating, together with the bishops of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, in the solemn consecration of the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States.
To be present at this private and extraordinary gathering was a truly historic experience, marked by prayer, ecclesial unity, and a renewed trust in God's providence for the future of the nation.
During this celebration, our Totus Tuus community was also blessed with the opportunity to consecrate to the Sacred Heart of Jesus all of our mission, apostolic work, and evangelizing efforts throughout the United States, entrusting every project, every family, and every soul under our care to His Divine Heart.
This day will remain engraved in our memory as a moment of special blessing both for the United States and for our community. We give thanks to God for allowing us to witness and participate in this historic event of faith.

The Totus Tuus Association accompanied Bishop Paul S. Coakley, S.T.L., D.D., and attended the consecration to the Sacred Heart during the celebration of the country's Independence Day.

La comunidad Totus Tuus participa en un acontecimiento de gracia junto a los obispos de la nación
El 11 de junio vivimos una jornada de profunda gracia y significado histórico para la Iglesia en los Estados Unidos. Tuvimos el privilegio de participar, junto a los obispos de la Conferencia Episcopal de los Estados Unidos, en la solemne consagración de la nación al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, en el marco de la conmemoración del 250.º aniversario de la Declaración de Independencia de los Estados Unidos.
Formar parte de este encuentro de carácter privado y extraordinario constituyó una experiencia verdaderamente histórica, marcada por la oración, la unidad eclesial y la renovación de la confianza en la providencia de Dios para el futuro de la nación.
Durante esta celebración, nuestra comunidad Totus Tuus tuvo también la gracia de consagrar al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús toda su misión, apostolado y trabajo evangelizador en los Estados Unidos, poniendo en sus manos cada proyecto, cada familia y cada alma que el Señor nos confía.
Este día permanecerá grabado en nuestra memoria como un momento de especial bendición tanto para los Estados Unidos como para nuestra comunidad. Elevamos nuestra acción de gracias a Dios por permitirnos ser testigos y participantes de este acontecimiento histórico de fe.

Prior to his election as Pope Leo XIV, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost was Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops. Here is the biography of the 267th Bishop of Rome.
The first Augustinian Pope, Leo XIV is the second Roman Pontiff - after Pope Francis - from the Americas. Unlike Jorge Mario Bergoglio, however, the 69-year-old Robert Francis Prevost is from the northern part of the continent, though he spent many years as a missionary in Peru before being elected head of the Augustinians for two consecutive terms.
The new Bishop of Rome was born on September 14, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, to Louis Marius Prevost, of French and Italian descent, and Mildred Martínez, of Spanish descent. He has two brothers, Louis Martín and John Joseph.
He spent his childhood and adolescence with his family and studied first at the Minor Seminary of the Augustinian Fathers and then at Villanova University in Pennsylvania, where in 1977 he earned a Degree in Mathematics and also studied Philosophy.

POPE FRANCIS - THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Good morning! Today I would like to dwell on the action that the Holy Spirit performs in guiding the Church and each of us to the Truth. Jesus himself says to his disciples: the Holy Spirit "will guide you into all the truth" (Jn 16:13), being He himself "the Spirit of Truth” (cf. Jn 14:17; 15:26; 16:13).
We live in an age in which people are rather sceptical towards the truth. Benedict XVI has spoken many times of relativism, of the tendency, that is, to believe that there is nothing definitive and to think that the truth comes from consent or from what we want. The question arises: does "the" truth really exist? What is "the" truth? Can we know it? Can we find it? Here I am reminded of the question of the Roman Procurator Pontius Pilate when Jesus reveals to him the profound meaning of his mission: "What is truth?" (Jn 18:37.38). Pilate fails to understand that "the" Truth is in front of him, he fails to see in Jesus the face of truth, which is the face of God. Yet, Jesus is just that: the Truth that, in the fullness of time, "became flesh" (Jn 1:1.14), that came among us so that we might know it. The truth cannot be grasped like an object; the truth has to be encountered. It is not a possession; it is an encounter with a Person.

God will judge us on our love, on how we have loved our brethren, especially the weakest and the neediest… Christ comes to bring us the mercy of a God who saves. We are asked to trust in him, to correspond to the gift of his love with a good life, made up of actions motivated by faith and love.
We must learn every day to recognize Him in the poor and in the lowly. Let us strive for goodness and be watchful in prayer and in love. May the Lord, at the end of our life and at the end of history, be able to recognize us as good and faithful servants.

Living these days requires much courage. There are so many concerns and many troubles, though, after all, is also nice to live in this time so full of hope for a more peaceful tomorrow, more human.
Many risk their lives to defend their ideas and freedom, and we have shining examples of heroism.
The Christian is obliged to make sacrifices to remain such. Is it not true that in some parts of the world there are still oppression and persecution that force those who wish to remain faithful to Christ to do so secretly, as in times of persecution?

God adds external difficulties and sufferings, which forces him to trust in God more, rather than less. Thus, without light, they must have faith, without support they must have hope and without consolation they must love. This Dark Night of the Senses, as St. John calls it, purifies the soul and enters it upon the way of holiness and mystical prayer.
